Our established international client are looking for a Project Design Engineer to be part of an established, fast paced, and dynamic Engineering team and you will support Project Engineering and the transition of new products into Production. You will take the lead of Design but also implement the product into Production by using Project Management principles but still having the ability of understanding of good manufacturing practices to compliment. You will help to support R&D, Sales, Service and Production with issues that may arise as well as working closely with senior management.

You will source and consult with suppliers of purchased components for Design activities. You will also manage multiple projects, including tasks allocated to you, and you will be expected to deliver these within a set timeframe.

Mandatory requirements:

5 years plus experience in Design/Project Management.
Strong organizational, interpersonal, problem solving and analytical skills.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively across all areas of the business.
PC literate.
Previous MRP experience and navigating through product structures.
Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritise and react to assigned tasks in accordance with business needs.
Hands-on, process orientated and highly driven self-starter with good planning skills and versatility to adjust to changing priorities.
Solidworks knowledge.

Desirable requirements:
Technical experience working within industry
Experience of working in a small to medium sized company.
Mechanical / Engineering /Production experience.
Electrical knowledge would be advantageous.
Experience in a hazardous environment (explosive atmospheres, ATEX, IECEX)
Experience working within a regulated industry preferable.

Comfortable and capable of leading teams and taking meeting minutes.
Ability to effectively delegate while maintaining forward motion on key deliverables.
Ability to resolve conflicts.

Strong team player and ability to work on own initiative.
Excellent attention to detail.
Knowledge of Change Control and all drawing office practices
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong leadership qualities and the ability to train staff.

Qualifications:

Relevant manufacturing/engineering degree preferred, or ONC, A Levels, BTec Diploma Level 3 or equivalent NVQ level 3 qualification.
Membership of an industry related Professional Body would be advantageous.
