Senior Regulatory Accountant

£60,000 per annum
A market leading, London based, global general insurance business is seeking a Senior Regulatory Accountant. This role will see you responsible for delivering all regulatory reporting requirements for the UK and UK SII entities. This will involve quarterly and annual submissions to the PRA as well as overseeing SII finance processes and controls, whilst establishing relationships with key stakeholders within the business.
Duties of the role include:
* Assisting in the delivery of various regulatory returns such as
* Solvency II
* NAIC
* EBS / SII balance sheets
* QRT's
* Provide support on the preparation of information packs for key stakeholders within the business.
* Liaising with external auditors and providing support with any reporting relates issues.
* Working with other members of the business such as the actuaries in order to ensure streamlined and maintained regulatory policies by implementing best practice methods.
* Implementing efficiencies into the regulatory processes.
For this role you should:
* Have an accountancy qualification or be working towards one, such as ACCA or ACA.
* Have previous experience of working within a finance function of a large insurance business or, insurance experience from within an audit firm.
* Strong Solvency II understanding.
* Ability to work in a fast paced environment adhering to strict deadlines.
* Strong written and verbal communication.
* Stakeholder management abilities.
* Strong wider technical knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP would be preferrable.
