Nurse /Child Care Assistant - Part time

£14,375 per annum

Our leading Educational clients are looking for a Child Welfare Assistant to join their existing team part time Mon Tues Thurs Friday 10.30 AM – 4pm term time only. Hourly rate £16.50 (£14,375.00. yearly) neg according to Qualifications and experience. You will need strong communication and IT skills with an ability to motivate others and work autonomously. Own transport required due to rural location.

Main Duties

Able to perform a range of First Aid activities as may be required by pupils, staff and visitors to the School.

• Liaise with the School Nurse, Boarding House Parents and Matron on a regular basis.

• To assist with the production and maintenance of pupil health records.

• Share any specific areas of expertise that would be beneficial with the smooth running or development of the Surgery.

• Undertake regular checks on the first aid boxes that are located around the site and ensure they are compliant with current recommendations.

• Review and update First Aid signage around the School as required.

• Co-ordinate a response to a pupil‘s health problem, working closely with form tutors, Heads of Upper, Middle and Lower Schools, teaching staff and, where necessary, Senior Management and external medical staff.

• Deal with any medical emergency that might arise in the School and to be familiar with the School Crisis Management Policy.

• Ensure that School Medical Centre policies, are carried out within the Surgery.

• Attend external training courses as directed by the Bursar.
